This Classic Wooden Chinese Brush Stand is essential for drying Chinese brushes, as it allows your brushes to hang vertically whilst drying naturally. By hanging each brush vertically to dry, ensures that the brushes will remain in the best condition and avoids water from entering the brush handle and so causing damage by swelling. Drying the brush vertically also helps to maintain the bristle shape and point.

The brush stand is made from wood which has a lovely deep brown grain. It is beautifully carved with ornate scroll work and at the top of each end there is a traditional dragon-like shape. This Classic Brush Stand comes in four parts that slot together easily. It is suitable to hang your Chinese and Japanese sumi-e painting brushes.
