Cobalt Chromite Blue Pure Pigment Powder (15ml)

Using only the highest-quality pure pigment, our A J Ludlow Colours’ Cobalt Chromite Blue powder is suitable for all home-made paint formulations, including water, oil and acrylic colours, as well as solvent-based acrylic or polycarbonate resins.

Grind the pigment with A J Ludlow’s Binder and Painting medium to make home-made watercolours or alternative binding mediums, including drying oils for oil colours and oil-based paints and for three-dimensional work, solvent-based acrylic or polycarbonate resins. For home-made acrylic colours, the pigment should be ground into a wetting and dispersing additive first, in order to stabilise the pigment in the acrylic emulsion.

Cobalt Chromite Blue pigment powder is a mixed metal oxide inorganic pigment, cobalt chromium aluminium oxide. The pigment has excellent light fastness and is often described as “cerulean blue”, but its colour is a greener-shade blue than that of the traditional cerulean, cobalt (II) stannate.
