Large Traditional Chinese Calligraphy (Writing) Brush Made with Black Rabbit Hair

This Chinese brush is suitable for both Chinese brush and Japanese sumi-e calligraphy and painting. It is of the finest quality and made from firm, but flexible Black Rabbit hair, enabling the brush to be good for ink painting and calligraphy.

The handle of this brush is made of red bamboo and is a perfect shaped to fit comfortably in the hand for executing fluid brush strokes necessary for Chinese painting and calligraphy. Like most Chinese brushes, this brush has a loop on the end so that it can be hung from a brush stand to help facilitate natural drying.

Drying the brush by hanging in a vertical position helps to prolong its life, because it ensures that the hairs keep their shape once cleaned and shaped and it allows any excess moisture to run out of the head of the brush. This stops the moisture causing any rot/deterioration in the brush head over time.
